For starters, I am one of six children, third in birth order, the eldest male.

*Daughter Lisa (Born 1958) [Paul Carver] [M 1993]: their daughters Curran (B 1996) and Andie (B 1988).
*Daughter Laura (B 1959) [Ted Barringer] [M 1982]: (1) their son Fitz (B 1985) & (Katherine Rodgers); their son Adlai (B 2012), their daughter Wynifred (B 2014): (2) their daughter Neils Barringer (B 1986) and (3) their son Pickens Barringer (B 1991).

Professional experience: Private Practice of Orthodontics for 46 years in Durham and Roxboro, NC. Prior Assistant Professor of Orthodontics both at Duke University and the University of North Carolina. In January, 2013, I completed sale of my practice to Dr. Pedro E. Santiago, who is affiliated with Duke University Oral Health as a Craniofacial Orthodontist.

In addition to book writing and songwriting, other interests include reading, running (for over 50 years and more than 65,000 miles), golf, horticulture, inventing, weight training — plus trying to figure out investing.
